Abstract:

Distributed power supply mode with multi-energy and multi-directional power flow including utility grid, renewable energy, and energy storage unit has become a research hotspot as renewable energy technology advances.

This study proposes an AC/DC hybrid multi-port power routing (MPPR) system using dual DC bus partial power conversion (PPC). A power router consists of the PV port, battery port, and two DC voltage buses.

PV MPPT and grid-tied inverter HVRT use the same auxiliary port voltage modulation. Compared to full power conversion (FPC), PPC-based PV conversion just considers the voltage differential between PV panel and series-connected DC bus, reducing loss. All converter and energy transmit control schemes are detailed. Simulation and experiment findings prove the strategy works.
