Abstract:

Multiport converters are important in portable electronics and EVs. SIMO converter setups are described in literature. Most SIMO converter outputs are constrained by duty ratio and inductor charging. The cross-regulation issue persists in SIMO converter design.

To address the restrictions, this work proposes a SIMO topology. It may produce three output voltages independently of duty cycle and inductor currents (e.g., iL1>iL2>iL3 or iL1<iL2<iL3).

The suggested topology avoids cross regulation issues, ensuring load voltage V01 (V02) (V03) is unaffected by output current fluctuation (i03, i02, i01). The loads are segregated during control. A 200 W prototype circuit is created in the lab and validated by simulation and experimentation.
