Abstract:
This project’s android tourist guide provides city maps based on the tourist’s current location. This helps tourists find their destinations. Well, it contains complete details of those locations, how to reach them, and emergency amenities like hospitals, institutes, bus stops, etc., but it provides the basic information to choose places to visit.
Tourists who know nothing about their destinations will benefit most from this project. Tourists and newcomers can better navigate their destinations with a geographic information system.This application eliminates single point failure by not requiring internet access.
The user can view the desired location on a map and estimate the travel time by making the application GIS-based. The system provides basic information like an image of the location, address, phone number, etc.
