Abstract:
Number plate recognition automates vehicle identification. Number plates uniquely identify vehicles. Real-time number plate identification helps police traffic laws. Toll plazas, parking lots, high-security zones, border crossings, etc. are its many uses. Number plate recognition detects and automatically recognizes vehicle number plates from moving vehicles. Two pieces make up automatic number plate recognition.
Vehicle number plates are identified and their text is extracted during number plate extraction. OCR algorithms receive normalized segmented characters. Finally, optical character data will be encoded. The characters are recognized using template matching. The output must be a character string.
