Abstract:

DAB converter systems need better modeling. First, multiconverter system models are built systematically. Continuous-time large-signal average models are created for system-level analysis and efficient time-domain simulation. GAM is used to derive the base DAB models, but the system-level construction does not require a base period. Second, high-frequency DAB transformer current reconstruction is suggested. This method improves transformer current modeling accuracy, a major weakness of GAM-derived DAB models. The method is applied offline as needed, so time-domain simulation computational complexity is unaffected. Switching simulations and hardware experiments validate system-level model construction and harmonic reconstruction.
