Abstract:
Trains and buses require tickets. We must wait in long lines for tickets or passes. This will lengthen our trip. The busses and trains we booked will also be missed. Paperwork will increase with this system. More risks of losing the ticket will cause chaos. We proposed an Android-based bus and train ticket booking system to address these concerns.
Users can book bus and train passes. This system has another module where ticket collectors or users can check ticket validity. By inputting user and ticket IDs. A ticket collector can verify its legitimacy. User receives unique id to check ticket after booking. User must complete out data to register. The system gives him a unique ID after registration.
The user logs in with their ID and password. User dashboard appears after login. User must enter source and destination locations and other system requirements. System calculates trip cost automatically. Users had to choose monthly, quarterly, or annual train and bus passes. User can add balances using card details.
Pass users can use cards to refill balances after booked tickets are deducted. A ticket checker logs in using his ID and password. Ticket checker enters ticket id and user id to verify ticket. Train and bus details, train checker, and user details are available to admin.
Admin can add ticket checker info. Train and bus details can be updated by admin owing to changes. User ID and amount can be entered by admin to add balance. This system cuts paperwork and time. Users can book tickets anytime, anywhere.
