Abstract:

Microgrid is scaled down to Nanogrid. Nanogrid (NG) is a household grid featuring solar PV, diesel generator, fuel cell, and battery-based energy storage for autonomous operation. This report emphasizes the role of NG in rural electrification in India.

NG source-load coordination optimizes grid power flow. This study explored centralized and decentralized control methods for NG source-load coordination. NG uses interfacing converters to send electricity from intermittent renewable sources to load.

Different NG technologies are available in the literature depending on generation (AC or DC) and load. A critical analysis of common power electronic technology for NG applications is given.

This paper proposes a cooperative power management technique for regulating power flow in a small hydro power station interfaced DC microgrid and multi NG structure based on literature gaps.
