Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to offer a novel approach for regulating the current source converter (CSC) based D-STATCOM.

This method makes use of a fuzzy-PI controller to reduce voltage sag, enhance total harmonic distortion (THD) of source current, load current, and load voltage, and also to preserve the DC link voltage profile.

The MATLAB/SIMULINK environment has been utilized for the purpose of testing and simulating the model. Experiments were conducted both with and without D-STATCOM to investigate the simulation’s outcome under normal and fluctuating load situations.
