Abstract:
Our Automatic Pronunciation Mistake Detection project corrects English pronunciation problems efficiently. It helps students/users pronounce better. The project uses speech recognition, pyaudio, and pyttsx3 to reduce errors and improve error detection.
This Python project has two main modules: User and Admin. First, the user must register with their name, age, gender, standard, username, and password. Use of the site requires logging in.
Users must record the word they intend to utter for pronunciation detection. Comparing the entered word to the recorded word to text will reveal the pronunciation error. A erroneous pronunciation pop-up will appear if it doesn’t match. Clicking on the audio file shows the words pronounced and the proper pronunciation of the term they mispronounced. The admin can see user details and pronunciation errors. They can edit, delete, and see words.
This project uses Python for the back end and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the front end. The framework is Django and the database is MySQL.
