Abstract:
GPS tracking systems can follow Android phones on Gmap, but what if we lose internet or GPS? How about mapping our location? We propose a wifi-based method to track an android phone in a closed room. This requires no internet or GPS connection.
Four routers in four corners of the room store network signaling strength data for subsequent processing. Our suggested method gathers data and accurately maps it utilizing indoor environment approximated by FMM, a simultaneous algebraic reconstruction technique (SART) on a grid, to determine the mobile device’s exact mapping position. Android provides a powerful mobile development platform, thus we recommend building this system on it. Our device helps the blind and locates users in smoky or dark environments. The technology uses wifi signals to map signal strength locations to help users locate themselves. The inside.
