Abstract:

Distribution Static Compensator (D-STATCOM) with proportional resonant (PR)-controller and comb filter is provided in this study.

The suggested controller simplifies resonant controller tuning and improves current harmonics responsiveness. Implementing a comb filter allows several harmonic compensations in the grid current without tuning, unlike PR-controller.

This study implements feedforward and feedback comb filters and compares their outcomes. The D-STATCOM topology used constant switching, or SPWM, for reactive power and harmonic compensation. MATLAB/Simulink results support theoretical claims.
