Cloud Computing Projects

Abstract:

Healthcare Internet-of-Things (IoT) allows embedded devices to monitor patient vital signs and aggregate and outsource data to the cloud. The cloud lets authorized users store and share data for on-demand services.

However, untrusted networks, dishonest cloud service providers, and resource-limited devices raise security concerns. Cryptographic access controls protect patients’ privacy. For lightweight and resource-limited end-devices, fine-grained access control among authorized users is still difficult.

This paper proposes a novel healthcare IoT system that combines attribute-based encryption, cloud, and edge computing to provide an efficient, flexible, secure fine-grained access control mechanism with data verification in healthcare IoT networks without secure channels and allows data users to enjoy lightweight decryption. We define and prove our scheme’s formal security models. Our scheme outperforms others based on extensive comparison and experimental simulation.
