Human Speed Detection Project

Abstract:

The Human Speed Detection Project helps sports by detecting human speed. This system accurately measures human speed with a handheld radar gun. Running races require speed measurements for decision-making. The proposed system calculates speed by calculating travel time. Infrared (IR) transmitters and receivers are strategically placed on both sides of the road. The control unit calculates human time and displays speed on an LCD screen.

Introduction:

Sports require speed detection. Accurately measuring human speed is crucial for analyzing athlete performance or determining a running race winner. Traditional speed detection methods lack precision and reliability. Thus, the Human Speed Detection Project proposes a handheld radar gun and infrared solution.

Objectives:

The Human Speed Detection Project aims to create a real-time speed measurement system. The project uses radar and infrared sensors to accurately measure human speed. Sports-related speed measurements should be accurate, portable, and easy to use.

Project Details:

The Human Speed Detection Project measures speed with a handheld radar gun. This radar gun accurately measures speed. The system can analyze speed data by pointing the radar gun at the target.

The project uses time to calculate speed. Infrared transmitters and receivers are installed on both sides of the road at predetermined points for this. Infrared sensors alert the control unit when someone crosses the start and end points.

This project relies on the control unit to process infrared sensor data. Sensor data calculates human time. The control unit accurately calculates the individual’s speed by dividing the distance between start and end points by the calculated time.

An LCD screen shows the speed value. This lets spectators, officials, and others easily access and interpret speed data in real time. The LCD screen clearly displays the detected speed, improving the system’s effectiveness.

Conclusion:

The Human Speed Detection Project offers an effective way to measure human speed in sports. A handheld radar gun, infrared technology, and a control unit calculate and display people’s speeds. Sports events can benefit from fair competition, performance analysis, and real-time speed measurements. The project’s success would improve speed detection systems and sports applications.
