Project Ideas

Abstract:

Internet growth has raised security awareness and interest. Although security was considered in the design of basic Internet protocols, many applications have been and are being designed with little regard for confidentiality, authentication, and privacy.

Understanding such security issues will become more important as we rely more on data networks. DES and AES require pre-established shared keying material. Keying material distribution by hand is laborious. Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement helps here.

Visual Studio and C#.Net program the project. Only users can access the system. Users can only access the system after logging in with their credentials. Encryption hides private or sensitive information in a seemingly harmless object. That cipher text hides secret information from viewers.

Encryption takes advantage of humans’ inability to detect files with data. This system allows users to send secret messages and provides a key or password to lock the text, which encrypts the text so hackers cannot read it. Decrypting hidden text requires the key.

User sends key to receiver, who enters key or password for text decryption and presses decrypt key to receive secret text from sender. This method double-checks that your secret message is sent without hackers or crackers. Sender will receive this cipher text if sent publicly. The system stores all data online.
