Abstract:
Manual bus ticketing takes time. Paper tickets or smart cards are used as substitutes, but if they are lost or forgotten, they are useless. This project aims to create an android app that lets users book tickets online from their phones and travel a specified distance with a text message.
For security, all user data is kept in the cloud and retrieved for ticket validation. “This paradigm shift benefits from the fact that cloud ticketing services can be accessed via the Internet and elastically grown or shrunk, providing easier scalability and high availability”.
