Abstract:
We suggested a system that recognizes symbols by applying algorithms to user-submitted photos. We processed photos in this system. We grayscaled the RGB image. Image gets converted to grayscale for further processing. For accuracy, grayscale to black and white. Image preprocessing removed undesirable objects and environmental influence.
We store symbol templates in one location with fixed-size images for easy recognition. Black-and-white template pictures. System will produce dataset of these templates. System resizes user-provided query image.
Finally, the system will compare query image values to dataset template image values and display the result in text. System outputs text from image input. OCR was used to recognize the sign. 60%–80% accuracy.
