Abstract:
Tourists in a new city must read city map leaflets to identify fine-printed places. It doesn’t include location specifics, directions, and emergency amenities like hospitals, institutes, bus stops, etc. We propose a geographical information system to help tourists and newcomers find amenities in a city.
Google and other navigation systems require internet access to work. Our suggested GIS system lets users traverse city maps, zoom in, and view tourist attractions, hospitals, institutes, bus stops, and train stations.
The system also provides directions, a description, photos, and phone numbers for these destinations. Thus, the proposed GIS system offers a complete guide to help newcomers traverse a new city without internet.
