Abstract:
High-security authentication is needed to access the Internet or other vital resources. Studies reveal that individuals choose weak passwords, reuse them across sites, and forget them. According to the 2002 NTA Monitor Password Survey, heavy web users have 21 passwords, 81% use common passwords, and 30% write them down or store them in a file. In such instances, fingerprint-based identity authentication works well.
Our Fingerprint Sensor Contact Recognition System solves the password memory and identity security issues. A fingerprint is a ridged and valleyd pattern on a finger. The uniqueness and permanence of fingerprints make them one of the most dependable human traits for personal identification.
The most common biometric authentication method is fingerprints. The uniqueness of each human fingerprint allows for flawless identification.
Our android project has one module:
The user must register first. First, the system takes the user’s fingerprint. After capturing the fingerprint, the user must provide contact information. The user must validate their fingerprint to log in. After authentication, the user can view the profile.
It uses SQLite for the back end and XML for the front end. The programming language is Java. The IDE is Android Studio.
