Abstract:

Numerical computing, statistical simulation, random sampling, and more use random numbers. Computer-generated random numbers are vulnerable to attack. Some random numbers are predictable. However, blockchain RNGs cannot withstand attacks. Thus, random numbers must be secured. This paper improves the random number generator and designs a secure blockchain-based RNG (BCsRNG). The smart contract develops an encapsulated secure random number algorithm. An API facilitates input and output. BCsRNG’s random numbers are harder to decipher and more secure, according to experiments.
