Project Ideas

Abstract:

Twelve servo-motor-driven snake segments are linked by metal brackets. Servos are controlled by an Arduino Mega and fueled by 7.4-volt batteries. Bluetooth lets an android app operate the snake. The snake can move independently.

A robot with several servos and brackets can be built. Each of the 12 segments has a servo motor, C-bracket, side bracket, wire clip, and Lego wheels. To connect the Lego wheel axle to the C-bracket, drill two screw holes. After connecting 12 segments, add head and tail parts for the Arduino and batteries. Connect a side bracket and two long C-brackets.

The Arduino and 5AA battery holder power the snake tail. A separate 7.4-volt battery pack powers the snake’s servos in its head. Receivers’ bottom pins connect to Arduino ground. The voltage pin connects to an Arduino 5-volt pin.
