Abstract:
Road accidents have skyrocketed with car sales. The WHO reports 1.35 million road accident deaths annually (https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/road-traffic-injuries). This number shows the global road safety crisis and necessitates road safety facility and rescue operation system improvements.
Road accidents rarely notify the rescue team or police. The rescue team’s delay and heavy traffic between the accident site and the hospital increase the victim’s risk of death. We developed this accident detection system to save victims and reduce road accident deaths.
Sensors, sound meters, GPS, and GSM modules are included. Sensors and sound meters will alarm the accident. GPS will track location coordinates and GSM will alert nearby hospitals and police. Thus, this system will immediately alert the nearby rescue team and hospital facility of the accident to take immediate action.
This app improves coordination, alerts authorities, and saves time rescuing accident victims. Accident victims are usually unable to use their phones to request assistance.
User app automatically detects accidents based on sound and sensor readings. In case of an accident, app quickly notifies nearby ambulance, hospital, and police. Ambulance updates patient status if dropped to hospital. If admitted, hospital app can update status.
This prepares and informs the assigned hospital. User details are also shared with hospitals and police, allowing hospitals to view patient medical records and police to view accident details.
