Abstract:
Modern supply chains are global networks of manufacturers, suppliers, shipping businesses, and retailers that distribute items to consumers. Modern supply chains are becoming more complicated and diverse as they grow. Also read: Blockchain Projects
Traditional supply chains use paper-based, disconnected data systems that create information silos and make product tracking time-consuming. We built our Blockchain-Based Shipment Management Tracking System to address the aforesaid issue. Tracking cargo modifications and informing parties is the goal. Blockchain technology can trace and confirm supply chain movements in real time. This will improve tracking and speed up real-time transactions. This Dotnet-based system has two modules, Admin and User. Admins can log in with credentials. They can add, amend, view, and delete Shippers, Consignees, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Lines, etc. They can view courier details and transactions by Googling the tracking ID. Users can log in with credentials. Only the shipper can add, amend, view, and delete couriers. Each courier’s tracking ID lets users monitor cargo details and transactions. They can also add a transaction with sender, receiver, product dimensions, size, quality, etc.
This DotNet system uses ASP.net for the backend and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. Visual Studio and MSSQL are used. Also read: A Blockchain-Based Solution for Mitigating Overproduction and Underconsumption of Medical Supplies
