Abstract:

The future transport sector issue is to incorporate all urban transport modes (metro, bus, train) on a single ticket to facilitate transfer and enable a “pay per use” pricing model for customers. The only two Smartphone payment methods before now used QR code and NFC technologies. QR code poses major security problems, while NFC lacks interoperability, versatility, and Apple (iOS), the benchmark for mobile technology developments, does not support it. The project aims to deliver BLE-based eticketing. This innovative approach to eticketing is a breakthrough because to its low cost, low consumption, ultra-fast connection, better coverage, and operator and platform interoperability. Apple and most major Android brands use BLE. Also read: RFID Based Automatic Traffic Violation Ticketing
Bus operators will benefit from better transport statistics, less small-cash transactions, faster fare-processing, and higher passenger throughput. Passengers will have greater mode choice and easier interchange, improved convenience of use. Authorities will reduce traffic, enhance transport use, and lessen environmental effect.
