Abstract:
With more responsibility, it is harder to track grocery inventory. Thus, poor grocery management causes shortages. In this fast-paced world, remembering the groceries in the kitchen is difficult for working people. Home kitchens need a smart grocery management system to track grocery stock.
We created an Android Grocery Management App to solve the problem. Our project will track groceries. It can be used in homes, stores, restaurants, etc. to manage efficiently. We added a recipe feature to help users make interesting and delicious food with inventory groceries to improve the user experience.
Login requires registration. The user can login after registering. The system will email the user their password if they forget it. Users can add, update, and view inventory.
Based on inventory, the system will suggest recipes. 60% of ingredients matching inventory items will be searched for recipes. The system will show how much is needed and available in the recipe ingredients.
The user can see their and other recipes. They can add inventory items or new ones to the recipe. They can edit and delete recipes.
If an item is in stock, the user can scan its barcode and update it. If not, the system will ask them to add it. The user can manage their inventory shopping list in the Shopping list. This system uses XML and MSSQL. It is Java. Android Studio is used.
