Android Carpool Ride Sharing App
Abstract:
The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App addresses global traffic congestion. Population concentration, poor public transport, and rising private vehicle ownership have caused this issue. Carpooling reduces commuters’ carbon footprint and costs in densely populated cities. However, finding suitable carpooling partners can be difficult, hindering carpooling systems. The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App helps users find or offer rides to encourage carpooling and improve commuting.
Introduction:
Due to high population density, poor public transportation, and rising living standards, urban traffic congestion is a global issue. Carpooling is ideal for densely populated cities. Carpooling reduces commuters’ carbon footprint and is cost-effective.
Carpooling has many benefits, but finding suitable carpool partners can be difficult. The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App allows users to easily offer or find rides, fostering carpooling communities.
Objectives:
The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App promotes carpooling. The app simplifies carpooling by allowing people to offer or search for rides. The app also prioritizes user security by requiring admin verification to access its features. The app also accepts carpooling for intercity and interstate travel.
Project Details:
The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App requires account creation and admin verification. The admin reviews and approves user profiles in the pending state. After admin approval, users can log in and use the app. The app lets users offer rides or find carpools.
Users can offer rides with multiple cars and set the per-kilometer charge for passengers within a range. The user must provide the source and destination locations, the number of passengers for pooling, the ride date and time, and vehicle information. “Rides Offered” displays user-offered rides. If other users want a ride, the offering user receives an accept or reject offer to join the carpool.
The offering user adds passengers to the ride after accepting them. App users must start and end rides. Passengers can track the vehicle until it’s finished. Users must enter the source, destination, number of passengers, and preferred date and time when searching for a ride. The user can request to join a carpool if the search criteria match an available ride. After the ride owner accepts, the user becomes a passenger and can track the ride’s start/end status and location. The passenger is asked to pay in cash or through the app at the end of the ride.
Tracking previous rides is limited to viewing details. The app also displays ride credits and debits.
Conclusion:
The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App solves urban traffic problems. The app promotes carpooling as a greener alternative to solo commuting. Ride offering, ride searching, admin verification, and ride tracking make the app a convenient and secure platform for sharing rides and reducing private vehicle use. The Android Carpool Ride Sharing App aims to change how people commute and make cities more accessible and sustainable.
