Abstract:
The online courtroom is a technological initiative designed to facilitate the remote conduct of court cases through the utilization of chat-based communication platforms. The Indian judicial system typically has delays in case resolution due to the necessity of conducting many sessions.
The attendance of both parties, their respective legal representatives, and the judiciary is required on a daily basis for court proceedings. This situation can be overwhelming for individuals and occasionally provokes significant frustration.
Therefore, this project effectively addresses the challenge of physical travel by enabling hearings to be performed remotely via the internet.
The judge, court reporter, both parties, their respective counsel, and witnesses are interconnected by the Internet, facilitating a seamless execution of the proceedings. The presentation of evidence to the judge can be accomplished by submitting attachments.
It is possible to link multiple individuals into a chat conference. Additionally, a digital notebook is available for the reporter to document all the happenings. Therefore, this project would effectively reduce both time and resource consumption.
The online system has been designed using the .NET framework and is backed by a SQL database for the storage of user-specific information.
