Abstract:
New variational model for non-linear image fusion. Our method uses an osmosis energy term similar to Vogel et al. and Weickert.
Minimizing the proposed non-convex energy achieves visually plausible image data fusion invariant to multiplicative brightness changes.
It encodes image structure prior to fusion and requires minimal supervision and parameter tuning. We use a primal-dual algorithm to solve multi-modal face fusion, color transfer, and cultural heritage conservation problems. Our method outperforms and is flexible.
