Cloud Computing Projects

Abstract:

ABE allows fine-grained access control over encrypted data in many cloud computing applications. Two main drawbacks limit ABE development. Most user revocation mechanisms cannot simultaneously be efficient, immediate, and robust.

ABE decryption requires costly pairing operations that increase with access policy complexity. We propose a practical server-aided revocable fine-grained access control mechanism using cloud storage, computing, and management capabilities to achieve efficient fine-grained attribute-based access control and immediate and robust user revocation.

The public cloud server handles most of the complicated decryption operations, leaving one exponentiation for users. Finally, Charm implements our mechanism. Our mechanism is efficient and practical, according to benchmark results.
