Abstract:

This article examines neuroscience, network science, and dynamic systems research on brain-inspired intelligence. Instead of using artificial computing networks, reconstructing cortical networks with dynamic activities that nourish brain functions can replicate brain intelligence. The survey uses complex network and spatiotemporal dynamics (abbr. network dynamics) to understand the brain and cortical networks and integrates neuroscience and network dynamics to build brain-inspired intelligence with learning and resilience functions. Complex networks, neuroscience, hybrid dynamic systems, and brain and intelligence research are covered. Brain science, data science, quantum information science, and machine behavior are also briefly discussed as promising future applications.
