Abstract:
GPS enabled massive spatiotemporal trajectories. Researchers used this growing trend to find human mobility patterns. Semantic absence, bias, and complexity still hinder semantic pattern extraction.
To solve the above three problems, we invented and applied City Semantic Diagram. First, we precisely identify semantic behaviors from raw trajectories to resolve semantic absence. Second, semantic purification design detects semantic complexity from human mobility.
Third, GPS trajectories eliminate semantic bias. Based on Shanghai taxi trajectories and attractions, massive experiments were conducted. City Semantic Diagram finds fine-grained semantic patterns better than other methods.
