Home Security using Gsm

Abstract:

This project’s goal is to provide the user with the guarantee of receiving an instant alarm in the form of an SMS notice on the user’s registered cell phone number for any sort of threat to the user’s home security.

Trespassing, burglary, arson, and other potentially dangerous behaviors are all examples of threats to security. In order to detect any potential threats, we will be utilizing IR Tx and Rx sensors for this project.

A temperature sensor will be used to alert the user to situations that are potentially hazardous, such as a fire. The user has the ability to put a lock code on the door (which is represented by a DC motor), and the door will only be able to be opened when the user calls from his or her registered mobile phone number.

The electronic lock on the door may now only be opened by the user, and only by sending the pre-set code to the lock through SMS from the cell phone number that has been registered.

If anyone other than the user attempts to breach the security of the system by trying to unlock the door with an unauthenticated number and/or invalid passcode, trespass the premises that are being monitored, or if a fire breaks out in the home, an alert notification regarding the system will be sent to the user immediately on the registered cell phone number.

The buzzer will activate at the same moment as well after that. This gives the homeowner the opportunity to respond appropriately. The microcontroller from the 8051 series will serve as the interface for the GSM modem.

The Home Security Using GSM project offers an effective method of addressing the issue of domestic safety in this manner. It is even able to send real-time notifications to the house owner on his or her mobile phone in the event that an undesirable occurrence takes place at the residence.
