Abstract:
The newest information systems market trends highlight two main technologies that effect industry. These are cloud and blockchain technologies. The business uses both colorful technologies in ERP systems. The quantity of cloud ERP solutions is not new, but using blockchain technology for cloud ERP has extra benefits from several perspectives.
Blockchain may help cloud ERP companies transform their proprietary ERP systems into collaborative platforms for partners and external users, according to Mearian (2018). This trend is especially evident in supply chain management (SCM), where several publications discuss this issue and propose solutions, such as Korpela, Kari & Hallikas, Jukka & Dahlberg, Tomi. (2017), which uses blockchain technology to transform the digital supply chain; and Banerjee, Arnab. (2018), which conducts a technical feasibility study.
However, more open cloud ERP solutions inevitably raise security concerns. The blockchain might provide a collaborative cloud ERP platform and guarantee security. Westerkamp, Martin & Victor, Friedhelm & Küpper, Axel (2018) examines supply chain management system transaction traceability and blockchain-based solution technological feasibility.
The literature suggests that cloud ERP and blockchain integration is still debated and needs more research. This research aims to recommend blockchain technology for cloud ERP. SWOT and GAP analysis were used in the IS-AS study. Explaining the possibilities of migrating business to Cloud ERP using Blockchain Technology to improve client security and transparency. This report emphasizes security suggestions and how Blockchain will fill the void.
