Abstract:
This project develops and implements a smart phone software that is more efficient and simple than current ticketing. The “Railway Ticket Booking System using QR Code” can be purchased anytime, anyplace, and the ticket will be on the customer’s phone as a “Quick Response (QR) Code”.
Admin will add clients using their Aadhaar card details from android app registration. After creating an account, customers can book tickets by entering the source and destination. The software generates a QR code for the booked ticket, which is scanned at the railway station.
GPS is utilized to validate and delete tickets at the source and destination. User data is maintained in a SQL database for security, something the suburban railway system lacks. The ticket checker has an app to search the cloud database for the user’s ticket number.
