Project Ideas

Abstract:

When having a face-to-face conversation with another person, it is frequently feasible to judge their emotions from indicators such as their expressions, body language, as well as other aspects of their demeanor. However, while having a discussion over telephone, it is quite challenging to get an accurate read on the emotional condition of the person you are speaking with.

A significant number of us were forced to remain inside our houses after the Covid 19 Pandemic. Keeping an eye on the emotional health and well-being of your family, friends, coworkers, and other important people in your life is absolutely necessary at times like these. This project, titled “Speech Emotion Detection,” was developed with the intention of assisting in identifying a person’s feelings just based on the tone of their speech.

Users have the option of either uploading an audio file that has already been recorded or recording a fresh track that may then be analyzed. Python has been used as the programming language throughout the development of this project, which was constructed utilizing the Django Framework.

After conducting an initial investigation, it has been advised that the entirety of the activity be computerized in light of the irregularities found in the current system. Python is used as the programming language during development of the web application, which is built on top of the Django Framework. The user is the only entity that can access the system that is being presented.

Users are required to log in using their current, valid login credentials before they may access the system. Once the user has successfully logged in, they will have access to all of the modules and will be able to precisely conduct and manage each task. The user has the ability to carry out a variety of actions, including uploading an audio file, recording an audio, and assessing the feelings conveyed in the audio.

HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript are used for the front end, while Python is used for the back end. Django was chosen as the framework, while MySQL was selected as the database.
