Abstract:

Vehicular Cloud Environment (VCE) is a new cloud and vehicular network study field. It gives cars networking and sensor capabilities for V2I/V2V roadside infrastructure communication. Traffic control and safety use cloud apps.

Vehicular communication networking requires a hybrid technical solution that uses vehicle resources, cloud infrastructure, and IoT settings. VCE promotes system security, vehicle control, and self-driving cars. VCE’s public network integration of unknown vehicles and infrastructure raises security and privacy concerns.

We propose a PSEBVC, a provably secure elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and biometric-based VCE authentication system using smartphones. The framework provides most secure communication features and properties against active and passive adversaries. We propose and prove a random oracle-based formal security model.

We demonstrate Scyther security analysis. We also compare our protocol to other frameworks. We found that the proposed system is secure and efficient in communication and processing overhead. Our findings show that the proposed architecture meets all security requirements and facilitates communication.
